Allagash Curieux is best described as a Bourbon Barrel Aged Strong Ale. Curieux is made by aging Allagash Tripel Ale in Jim Beam bourbon barrels for eight weeks in cold cellars. The aged beer is then blended back with a portion of fresh Tripel. The resulting beer is soft with coconut and vanilla notes, with hints of bourbon. It pours a dark gold with a foamy vanilla head. Best served cold, the last thing you want to do is drink this brew warm. With a 11% ABV you want to smoothest taste possible. Sold year round in a 750ml corked bottle.
